2009 Season Starts NOW!

It's been four long months since Mitch Cobb Racing took to the racetrack in Super Late Model competition.  Mitch and the rest of the #94 team are extremely anxious to get the ball rolling again in 2009.  Mtich's hopes are high for 2009, hoping to build on his sensational Rookie season last year in Super Late Models.  Although the racetrack he is starting off with this year is the familiar Pensacola Five Flags Speedway, there are a few unknowns that are awaiting all the race teams in Pensacola this weekend.

The track has undergone a grinding project in attempt to make the racetrack more raceable and easier on tires.  Pre-season testing has showed that the track has changed a bit, it appears quicker than last year and the real unknown is how it will affect the cars during a 100-lap event.

Mitch finished 3rd last season in Blizzard Series points, a result he intends to improve upon this year.

"A year ago I knew we could be competitive, but I still had a lot to learn.  My confidence is at another level this season, and it is important that I make a mark and win my first race."  Said Mitch recently.

Mitch's focus will be based around the 2009 Blizzard Series in conjunction with the races at Mobile International Speedway.  Sponsorship opportunities are still available for 2009, all interested parties should contact the team via www.mitchcobbracing.com.  Sponsorship opportunities include team branding and VIP associates that include VIP race tickets where you can come and be apart of the team for any one of Mitch's events!

UPDATE:  Thursday practice at Five Flags Speedway has shown Mitch running solidly in the top 10 during practice.  Mitch ran the whole night on 4 month old tires from the Snowball Derby last December while working on race setups.  A rear end failure cut his testing short a the end of the night, but the #94 team put in some extra effort and they are ready to go for Friday night.
